Care to Stay Home got a tour of a brand new facility in North Spokane: The Cottages of Spokane

Our brand new facility - The Cottages of Spokane

What does a memory care facility look like? It may have four walls, a ceiling, and doors but it is so much more. Care To Stay Home staff got a tour of a facility that is opening in the near future in North Spokane.

The Cottages of Spokane is a Memory Care Facility opening between mid-September and the beginning of October. To find this new facility, check on Google Maps at 6930 North Nevada Street in Spokane. It may look like an empty lot in Google Maps but as you can see from the pictures we assure you it is there.

The fresh paint on the walls and the manicured grass had us feeling like we were going to be in for a treat; and boy were we. The facility has a four-pod system with 20 residents per pod. This allows the interchanging of residents who may or may not be the right fit for each section.

The Cottages of Spokane were being built and the grounds are managed by an arborist who was hired to ensure the safety of the residents. How? The vegetation planted is edible to ensure that if the residents should try to eat the trees and shrubs that they are non-toxic.

The Cottages of Spokane will be opening in a few short months. It was amazing to see how far they have come in a short time. It will be exciting to see all they have to offer as they open the doors in the near future.
Tours are available right now of the facility and grounds.

Book a time to take a tour and reach out to find out more.
